Yesterday we were visited by a special investigator of the Pennsylvania Department of State. Someone reported Nike In-Jesus Ministries as fraudulent. We now have a case in hand with a lot of paperwork to fill out. We have registered everything legally and all donations are registered, so other than the headache of unnecessary paperwork, my initial reaction was to feel angry and frustrated. What you won’t see in all the paperwork documented is all the sacrificial giving of our team and a few others who have invested so much time into this ministry already. You also won’t see listed investments to get the non-profit up and running.
After navigating through those emotions, my next response that came to mind was James 1:2-4, “Count it all joy, my brothers, WHEN you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
I realized after a moment of my own emotions, this is great! The enemy is trying to attack our organization. That might sound crazy, but the enemy doesn’t attack unless he sees a threat. He doesn’t attack people or organizations he already has. This is just a sign we are doing what God wants. The non-profits name is Nike In-Jesus Ministries. No other name compares to the name of Jesus and no other name has power like the name of Jesus. Of course we will be attacked! What does Nike mean? Nike means victory. The non-profit means Victory in Jesus because we declare through this organization, countless children will have a home and find victory in Jesus. That alone will cause a threat to the world of darkness.
We have only been a non-profit since January, so we haven’t raised that much money. If anyone needs to see proof of documentation, we are more than happy to provide that. I ask the body of Christ to pray with us. After only six months, the ministry is already being attacked, that tells me the plans that God has for this are making the enemy uncomfortable so we just need to pray harder. I already know where victory is found. I know battles will come, but I also know who wins. So count it all joy with me and pray as we move forward in whatever plan God has for this ministry.
After spending an entire day doing unnecessary paperwork, I simply ask if anyone needs to see verification of anything, please no we are an open book and have nothing to hide.
Blessings
